Girls at Play is excited to announce that Eddie Bauer First Ascent will be sponsoring the Girls at Play Summer Tour 2011. First Ascent is Eddie Bauer’s new line of expedition gear designed and tested by world-class mountaineers and athletes. First Ascent is generously supplying hi-performance gear to the exceptional Girls at Play kayak instructors leading the beginner and intermediate classes on tour across the U.S.A. The women will also be giving a talk on how to get into kayaking for women at the Eddie Bauer store in Denver, CO. We are looking forward to an excellent summer on the water and are grateful that First Ascent will be helping us reach more women by introducing us to their audience.

About Girls at Play
Girls at Play was founded in 2004 by Anna Levesque, world-class paddler and instructor. Girls at Play is dedicated to inspiring, empowering and enhancing women’s lives through kayaking and yoga retreats, classes and trips. Girls at Play workshops, instructional tools and accessories provide an environment where kayaking feels accessible, fun, inspiring, adventurous and supportive.

About the Girls at Play Summer Tour
The Girls at Play Summer Tour is a grass roots, community-building program developed to inspire and connect women paddlers around the U.S. It has been running and successful since 2004. We travel to 13 different outfitter shops across the country and teach two one-day kayak clinics with 15 to 30 participants that range between the ages of 14 to 65! The clinics are sampler style and are designed to get women outside, trying something new or improving their skills, and meeting new friends. We teach to all paddling skill levels from recreational flatwater to intermediate whitewater. During our clinics we create a safe, friendly, and fun atmosphere so that the women can enjoy the instruction, the river and each other.
